Having originally started taekwondo at university, Mr Connell has achieved a 4th degree (4th Dan in other arts) in taekwondo and competed at several world level events as part of the GTUK england team. His previous club also has several members competing at the world level and having relocated to the Peak District is keen to replicate that success here. Despite these lofty ambitions Mr Connell also loves to nurture the love for taekwondo in all students, delighting in bringing confidence, structure and activity to those of any age and disposition.
Mrs Connell has been training in taekwondo since her early teen years. She has been a long standing part of the GTUK england team and has represented them in many tournaments around the world.
As a qualified childrens nurse Mrs Connell has a fantastic demeanor with all students, endless patience and a wide range of complimentary skills to Mr Connell.
Winter started taekwondo almost before she could walk, she is great with the younger children in class and uses opportunities to teach to sharpen her own techniques as she prepares for her blackbelt.
